Purpose of Role:

  • Contribute to the success of MEG Energy Corp’s operation by applying your experience and expertise to the implementation and set up of our construction warehouse facility. 
  • As Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible for planning the warehouse and lay down areas, developing and implementing procedures and for overseeing all warehouse functions including; offloading, receiving, complete MRR and OSD reporting, issue / returns, inventory control, cycle counts, material care and preservation programs, shipping and investment recovery.

 

Key Responsibilities:    

  • Provide and demonstrate personal Safety leadership in accordance with MEG Energy Corp’s Environment Health and Safety Program. Provide leadership in establishing a strong Safety culture within the MEG Energy Corp’s organization, vendors, service providers, and the contractors we engage with;
  • Provide direction to the warehouse team to ensure adherence to MEG’s standards and procedures for receiving, and preservation of materials and equipment;
  • Assist in the development of warehousing processes while ensuring compliance of Corporate policies;
  • Develop and manage warehouse and lay down areas for all construction materials and equipment;
  • Manage all materials including surplus and recyclable materials;
  • Schedule, organize, and participate in inventory management through counts and delivery of material and ensures this information is up to date and current in the system of record(s);
  • Ensure all documentation for materials and equipment is obtained as per MEG requirements.  This includes receiving reports, MTR’s, care and preservation information, Vendor warranty information, etc. and that this information is up to date and current in the system of record(s);
  • Ensure all warehouse staff and delivery personnel comply with MEG Safety standards and procedures;
  • Ensure inspection and examination of all deliveries for defects and damages.  Collaborate with applicable field discipline supervisor or vendor representative as required for any defects or damages;

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Diploma and a minimum of 10 years in a warehouse setting
  • Recognized certification as a Warehouse Technician, PMAC courses or equivalent years of experience.
  • Warehousing experience in a supervisory role
  • Construction experience is a requirement
  • Must be experienced in the maintenance of tool cribs and equipment preservation
  • Must have experience in setting up and maintaining warehousing systems
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and Fork Lift certification required
